Use a QR code to link to something else.

Quick Response codes [QR Codes] are basically two-dimensional bar codes that can be interpreted by a mobile phone camera equipped with a code-reading app. Once the QR code is scanned, for instance, the Web address embedded in the image links to that website on the phone’s browser.  The QR codes on this site lead to artists' quotes and were created using a free QR code creator: http:/mqr.kr/

In minutes, with a generator like mQR,  you can generate your own QR code for any block of text, a mecard, a vcard, a geolocation, or a website address and embed it almost anywhere.   If you, for example, aim your code scanner at the drawing below and  bring the QR code on the shirt into focus, it will open the link that is  associated with it.  . In this case, it opens a personal website.  Imagine how you could use this in your classroom.
